David, my husband of 32 yrs, teased me tonight. We were looking through the before/after pictures of our Old Hickory, TN flip house and he said, "What did you see in that old house?"
It is true that my enthusiasim soared when we stumbled on this abandoned old homestead. But my enthusiasim had NOTHING to do with what I could see in that old place. I know the talent my husband has. I knew he would have a vision that would bring life back to this forgotten house. My confidence wasn't in what I could see or what I could do. My confidence was in what I knew David Hall could see and what he could do.
He doesn't see projects as they are, he sees projects as he knows they will be when he invests his time, energy, resources, emotion, sacrifice and effort into them. Isn't that just like our Heavenly Father too.
We often see ourselves and our situations through the lens of our limited human perspectrive.
Our Heavently Father sees what we will be and what He can do in and through us. Let us remain confidient in his ability to reconcile our relationships, restore our wellness and welcome us oneday into His Eternal Kingdom!
